Shading in GrayScale Mode
In this step, I Switch to GrayScale Mode first, and I render every details for each layer, that is because is more easily to change color for each layers, using the Hue/Saturation sometime I use Replace Color tool to change color. The highlights in this screencast is the multiply blending mode applied to the sketch layer and put it above all layers to make the sketch lines visible.

Adding Details
This Screencast show how to add details to the subject using Filter >> Gaussian Blur for more softer render with combination other brush size and opacity for different effects.
